Manchester-Boston Regional Airport Train Transfers

Upon arrival at Manchester-Boston Regional Airport (MHT), passengers can choose from several ground transportation services, including rental cars, taxis, rideshares, buses, and hotel shuttle services.

The Newburyport/Rockport Line (MBTA Commuter Rail) is approximately 4 hours by bus or 1 and ½ hours by taxi in Manchester-by-the-Sea, Massachusetts.

Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority (MBTA) Commuter Rail

The MBTA serves as the commuter rail arm of Massachusetts Bay Transportation Authority's transportation coverage of Greater Boston in the United States. Trains run over 641 kilometers to 141 different stations, with 58 stations on the north side and 83 on the south.

The railway station is relatively far from the airport, making it an impractical mode of transport, as of the moment. Passengers are advised to look for other ground transportation options.

However, MBTA has proposed to extend the Lowell Line of its commuter rail system to Manchester, including Manchester-Boston Regional Airport.

The New Hampshire State Rail Plan of 2012 stated that freight could also be viable on the rail extension, maybe opening up more freight opportunities for MHT.
